When I was going through college I lusted over aprilias, loved everything about that them and always wanted one. A month ago I was searching for an FZ-09 or 10 but had no luck. Finally 3 weeks ago I went down to a dealership an hour away just to check out some other stuff and saw a 2013 Tuono and knew I had to go test ride it.
It was love and everything I imagined.
A week later I came down with everything I needed from my bank and rode home. I didn't think I would be able to afford an aprilia so I really didn't look and at the time of purchase only 2 used tuonos were for sale in my state.
So far it's everything I've ever wanted, the aprc stuff is fabulous and I love the riding position. Throughout college I had cheap bikes, never a fuel injected one and I love being able to just start it and ride. No fuss.
It's a dream come true.
At the time of posting this I have r and g axle sliders front and rear and their frame sliders be delivered, next maybe an exhaust? Still need to read more on the whole ecu remapping but other that I just want to out miles on it.
Little bit about myself is I've been riding street for 4 years starting on an 84 Kawasaki zn700 moving to an 87 yamaha fz700 and then to a 96 Honda cbr600f3. I was mechanic before I went back to college, now Im a cnc programmer and mechanical engineer for the shop I work at. I'm the euro snob of friend group, just about all my friends drive ford's and ride japanese bikes except for our odd harley bro. I love my Volvos and if I couldn't have found an fz and wouldn't have found this aprilia it would have been a triumph with any luck instead.
