Hi,
I've just bought a gen 1 tuono, and I suspect the fork oil is a bit old.
I've changed forks oils in my old bikes but they were all RWU damper rod type forks, I've never looked inside USD forks before.
Do you require any special tools to disassemble the forks, spring comressors etc.
Plus, are there any instructions for doing this. I only want to change the oil, not completely strip them.

thanks
D

hi mate, you will need to make up something like this to push down the spring tension tube 20160510_181226.jpg I use a couple of ratchet straps to tension down the spring to allow you to get to the nut to undo the damper rod..can post some more pics if you need em, but there are a few vids on you-tube that cover this...cheers :thumbup

release top clamp, while in the bottom clamp is tight, loosen the top nut on the fork, remove fork and turn it upside down and pump the fork and refill and pump a few times , easy!
