2016 Factory Picked up Today 5-5-2016

Enjoy the beast, I have just run mine in and it's the dogs bollocks!!!!!

Thanks factory Pete. I noticed some gunk on my back wheel and didn't realize what it was. After riding 50 miles I wonder if it's too late? What is that stuff?

Not too late, the gunk is the glue like lube that comes on the new chain. Takes a bit of cleaning off, use a good de greaser or paraffin, a stiff paint brush and plenty of rags, once you've cleaned of the gunk dry the chain and use your preferred chain lube as normal. The wheel and body work will clean up with normal polish you may need to get the thick off with some degreaser and soft cloth but make sure no grit as been caught up in the lube as this may cause scratches if its just wiped off. Take your time and the "T" will be pristine again.

Wiped off chain gunk and went for a ride upstate Sunday. Hit horrific stop and crawl for an hour NYC traffic (they closed the George Washington Bridge) and also did super highway, country roads and twisties. In short, just about all types and the Factory performed flawlessly. The Ohlins suspension made the awful roads easy and the comfort of the bike is great. Even the wind noise and buffeting are low, especially for a naked bike and certainly better than my Yamaha FJ-09 in most conditions, even with the larger after market windscreen I put on that bike. I was able to wear my cheapo, loud helmet which is intolerable on the Yamaha. Love the power, too. Now if I can just figure out how to remove the rear cowl...pic attachedIMG_2181.jpg

Congrats! Where are you on the Island? I'm out in Wading River. I have never even SEEN a Tuono anywhere around here!

I'm in Dix Hills. What are you currently riding? Maybe we can go out riding?
