Hi all,

has anyone tried grinding the stops down on the oem stand to increase the lean angle of the bike

Thought about it, never did it.
The stand is a pain in the ***, never trust it. I had a Mille fall off the stand one summer years ago, put a GSXR 750 stand on that which was much better.

Yip the US stand is the way to go, took me a while to find one but so much better, kicks out more at the bottom so the bike sits at a far better angle, the original stand you'd swear the bike could fall over even on a flat area!!! If you do look over the pond for one they usually call them 'kick stands' , makes the old evil bay search easier

just for reference I managed to get a us spec stand for a very good price so had a mess around with mine, I removed the stand and put the bench grinder to it and ground down the 2 mating surfaces, .when refitted it leant over a fair bit more than standard. I wish I had taken some before and after shots, I will take some when I fit the us spec stand to see the difference.

The US V4 stand gives a far safer lean to my V4 Tuono.
If you see one on the US ebay make sure it comes complete with the bracket which fastens to the frame. Although the bracket bolts to the frame exactly the same as the European one, the kick/side stand has a different size slot and bolt. All the spring an switch connections are the same.
However the US version is heavy and stick out a little bit.
The picture shows the US stand fitted and the EU one lent up next to it.

Haha cheers Dave that's my advert on the other channel. It leans over waaaaay more with the USA stand. My tv41000 fell over after only 5 days. Bolts straight on no modifications needed. Happy to email pics. Only for sale as have got new bike so don't need it anymore
you are very welcome sir, only posted as it is one of the best upgrades ive done to mine tbh. Luckily it didnt happen but i was always worried about it falling over with a slight gust of wind

I was giving mine it's Friday wash on the drive. Pushed a bit to hard on the left side and over it went. Snapped front brake lever, dented the standard pipe, scuffed engine case and bar end. Was proper lucky it wasn't worse.

Here is a another couple of pictures of how the US side stand looks on the bike

I know they do on earlier tuono's, I did it on my 06, but not sure it works with the v4 without mods.
